1. Eligibility

1.1 Renters must be at least 21 years old to rent a vehicle. Drivers under 25 are subject to additional liability limits.
1.2 A valid driving licence (local or internationally recognized) is required for the entire rental period.
1.3 The driving licence must be presented at the time of vehicle pickup. Copies or expired licences will not be accepted.

2. Rental Duration and Extensions

2.1 Rentals are calculated on a 24-hour basis. Any delay exceeding 4 hours will be charged as a full day.
2.2 Rental extensions must be approved by the company in advance. Unauthorized extensions may result in penalties or vehicle withdrawal.
2.3 The renter must notify the company at least 12 hours before the agreed return time if an extension is required.

3. Vehicle Pickup and Return

3.1 Vehicles must be picked up and returned at the agreed time and location.
3.2 The vehicle must be returned in the same condition it was received, including fuel level, cleanliness, and undamaged.
3.3 Late returns without prior notice will incur the following charges:

• Delays of 1–6 hours: 1–6 OMR depending on the vehicle type.
• Delays exceeding 4 hours: Full-day rental charge.

4. Usage Restrictions

4.1 Vehicles may only be driven within the Sultanate of Oman unless written permission is obtained from City Moon Business.
4.2 The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Off-road driving or using the vehicle in areas not suitable for standard vehicles.
• Racing, drifting, or any competitive driving.
• Overloading the vehicle beyond its passenger or weight capacity.
• Towing or pushing another vehicle. 4.3 The renter is responsible for all fines, fees, and damages resulting from improper usage.

5. Fuel and Maintenance

5.1 Vehicles are provided with a specific fuel level and must be returned with the same level. A refueling fee will apply for discrepancies.
5.2 The renter is responsible for basic maintenance during the rental period, such as checking fluids, tire pressure, and ensuring the vehicle is not neglected.
5.3 Any damage resulting from neglect, such as overheating or improper use, is the renter’s responsibility.

6. Accidents and Damage

6.1 All accidents or damages must be reported to City Moon Business immediately.
6.2 Renters are prohibited from conducting any unauthorized repairs. All repairs will be managed by the company.
6.3 Liability for damage is limited based on the renter’s age and insurance coverage:

• Drivers 25 and above: Liability limited to 150 OMR for accidental damage.
• Drivers under 25: Liability capped at 200 OMR. 6.4 If damage occurs due to the renter’s misconduct (e.g., driving under the influence), full compensation will be required.

7. Traffic Violations and Fines

7.1 The renter is responsible for all traffic fines, violations, and toll charges incurred during the rental period.
7.2 If the vehicle is impounded due to the renter’s actions, the renter will bear all associated costs, including retrieval fees and penalties.

8. Insurance Coverage

8.1 All vehicles are covered under comprehensive car insurance, including:

• Loss and Damage Waiver (LDW): Limits the renter’s financial responsibility for accidental damage.
• Third-Party Liability: Covers injury or property damage to third parties. 8.2 Exclusions from insurance coverage include:
• Damage caused by off-road driving or reckless usage.
• Accidents occurring while the renter is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Personal belongings left in the vehicle. 8.3 Assistance for completing insurance claims is available at an additional cost ranging from 30 to 100 OMR.

9. Cleaning and Maintenance Fees

9.1 Vehicles must be returned clean. A cleaning fee will apply for excessively dirty vehicles. 9.2 Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited. A 50 OMR penalty will apply for violations.

10. Refund and Cancellation Policy

10.1 Cancellations made 24 hours before the rental period start will receive a full refund.
10.2 Cancellations within less than 24 hours may incur a 1-day rental fee.
10.3 Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days.

11. Vehicle Withdrawal

11.1 City Moon Business reserves the right to withdraw the vehicle in the following cases:

• Unauthorized rental extensions.
• Non-payment of rental fees or penalties.
