1. Eligibility
1.1 The renter must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving licence.
1.2 Both local Omani licences and internationally recognized driving licences are accepted.
2. Usage Restrictions
2.1 The rental car is only permitted to be used within the Sultanate of Oman unless express permission is obtained from the company.
2.2 The renter must not participate in vehicle races or overload the vehicle to avoid technical issues.
2.3 Towing another vehicle with the rented car is prohibited. Any damages or fines incurred are the renter’s responsibility.
3. Rental Period and Fees
3.1 The renter must return the vehicle promptly at the agreed time. Late fees apply for late returns.
3.2 Rental duration is calculated on a 24-hour basis. Delays are charged at 1–6 OMR depending on the type of vehicle. Delays exceeding 4 hours are considered a full day.
3.3 Prior approval from the company is required to extend the rental period. Late extension without approval may result in cancellation and penalties.
4. Vehicle Condition and Maintenance
4.1 The renter is responsible for maintaining the vehicle, including refilling fluids as needed.
4.2 Upon return, the fuel level must match that at the start of the rental. Charges may apply for discrepancies.
4.3 The renter must return the vehicle clean and undamaged. Cleaning fees may apply for excessively dirty vehicles.
5. Accidents, Malfunctions, and Repairs
5.1 Any malfunctions or accidents must be reported to the company immediately. Unauthorized repairs are strictly prohibited.
5.2 The company manages repairs, but the renter is responsible for repair costs and rental charges during repair time if they are at fault.
5.3 If an accident occurs while the renter is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the renter must pay full compensation and will face legal consequences.
6. Traffic Violations and Legal Issues
6.1 The renter is responsible for any traffic violations incurred during the rental period and must adhere to the traffic laws of the Sultanate of Oman.
6.2 If the vehicle is impounded by the authorities due to the renter’s fault, all associated fees are the renter’s responsibility.
7. Insurance Coverage
7.1 All rental vehicles are covered by comprehensive car insurance:
- Loss and Damage Waiver (LDW): For drivers aged 25 and above, liability for accidental damage is limited to 150 OMR. For drivers under 25, liability is capped at 200 OMR. Minor repair costs for scratches or small damages remain the renter’s responsibility.
- Third-Party Insurance: Covers liabilities for injuries or property damage caused to third parties.
7.2 Exclusions: Third-party insurance does not cover personal injury or property damage to third parties caused by the renter’s misconduct. Assistance for completing insurance procedures is available, with agent costs ranging from 30 to 100 OMR.
8. Vehicle Return and Withdrawal
8.1 Vehicles must be returned clean, undamaged, and at the agreed time and location.
8.2 The company reserves the right to withdraw the vehicle at the renter’s expense in the event of a late return. The company is not responsible for any belongings left inside the vehicle.
9. Damage and Liability
9.1 If severe damage renders the vehicle ineligible for insurance coverage, the renter is responsible for paying the full price of the vehicle.
9.2 The renter is liable for any period during which the vehicle is idle due to repairs caused by the renter’s actions.
10. Refund and Cancellation Policy
10.1 Cancellations made 24 hours before the rental period start will receive a full refund.
10.2 Cancellations within less than 24 hours may incur a 1-day rental fee.
10.3 Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days.
11. General Provisions
11.1 The daily rate applies unless prior arrangements for weekly or monthly pricing are made.
11.2 Tampering with the vehicle’s speedometer is prohibited. Legal action may be taken if such tampering is discovered.
